Assistant
A trusted active player who is knowledgeable about feather64 and willing to help.
Purpose
Assistants help players navigate feather64, with a focus on the new player experience and server knowledge, and have a seat at the table for staff discussions.
- Proactively answer questions in chat and in the Discord #ask-a-question channel, not just when asked directly.
- Help orient new players; correct misinformation in chat when you see it.
- Participate in staff channel discussions about server changes and decisions.
Requirements
- Age. At least 16 years old.
- Tenure. Played feather64 for several months and intends to keep playing.
- Knowledge. Familiar enough with feather64's tips, commands, and quirks to answer new-player questions.
- Community. Active in-game and on Discord, playing as part of the community rather than in isolation.
- Welcoming. Treats new players as members of the community, not as easy targets for raiding, tricking, or PVP.
- Respectful. No slurs or excessive harassment.
Rules
- No trickery. An assistant's role depends on trust, especially in chat. Assistants can still raid, steal, and PVP, but not through insiding, fake alliances, TP tricking, etc. No player should feel tricked by an assistant. Some retaliation is appropriate against established players. For example, if a player is spamming malicious TP requests, it's fair for the assistant to accept and kill or trap them. Responding to malicious play isn't trickery.
- No role advantage. Don't use your staff role to aid your gameplay, especially griefing & raiding.
- No directions. Don't give players directions. Only mods and admins can direct players.
